[untitled]

driving north on the E6 highway
to Vestby - in Norway
going to work
Levon Helm's album
- Dirt Farmer
plays on
the song, a train robbery
oh the Country and Bluegrass
good ol' travelling music
the ramblin' fever
I miss the open highway road
I-75 north to
Cincinnati Ohio
to pick up I-71 north
to route 56 , and to route 22 - east
into Circleville
it's been a long five and a half years
since then
oh to be back in Ohio
never wanting to stop the ramble

  1. Originally penned in the Fall - November 2012, in Norway. The words for this poem came to me as I was driving to work one cold, gray - overcast November Wednesday morn. I was listening to Levon Helm's Dirt Farmer album, and the memories of the Summer 2007 road trip with Matt Canan to Ohio came to me, especially when we were driving through Tennessee listening to Blue Grass and Led Zeppelin. From journal book number Five.
