[untitled]

lonely dim, sad brown light
glowing in a second floor apartment window
old wooden houses line
the narrow one lane street of Løkkeveien
looking up the hill - high
remembering jack's words
a cold saturday night
four friends
walking, talking cheerfully
laughing
going back to that second floor tenement
home from the bar
the night had been joyus, wonderful

  1. Originally penned in the Winter of 2011, in Son Norway. I had been reading Jack Kerouac's Maggy Cassidy at this time, and my wife and I had two friends from Sweden visiting for the weekend. We were walking home from Cafe Oliven when the words to this one struck me. Everything seemed to fall into place just right. From journal book number Four.
